A few questions

Won’t people just write “nice app”?

They’re answering the questions you wrote, and they only get credits once you accept the review.

Who are the testers?

Other people building apps. They might not be your target customers, but they’re good at noticing where something is confusing.

Can anyone else read the feedback?

Only you and the person who wrote it. We’ll only look at it if there’s a dispute or someone reports abuse.

Do I have to pay?

No. You earn credits by trying other people’s apps and spend them on reviews of yours. There’s nothing to buy.

Do I need an app of my own?

No. You can review other people’s apps first and add yours later.

How long do I have to finish?

Your place is held for 24 hours. Most tests are designed to take about 10 minutes. The task tells you what to try.

When do I earn the credits?

When the maker accepts your completed review, or automatically after 72 hours unless they raise a completion dispute. Finding bugs or giving critical feedback still counts.

What if I close my request?

Closing stops new claims. Ongoing requests reserve credits only for actual reviewers; their claims must finish or be returned first. Existing prepaid requests also return any unused budget when closed.

What stage is Potluck at?

It’s an early alpha. You can add apps, request tests and leave reviews. Credits can’t be bought yet, and they can’t be exchanged for cash.
